I saw a scarf pattern advertised on Facebook. I didn’t save it. But it haunted me. It was an I-Cord based hexagon scarf with loads of drape. It folds on itself to create a warm looking scarf when wrapped around the neck but when it dangles free it’s open space geometry.

I drew out a rough pattern, made it, froged, tweaked the pattern and knitted again.

This yarn doesn’t have the right drape for it but I proved I have a working pattern. Time to pick the right yarn and try again.

That is so cool! God, the talent of fiber artists astounds me. Recreating a pattern from memory is just mind blowing to me. I love it. Cannot wait to see the finished project if you’re willing to keep posting!

Mine isn’t recreation of the pattern because they did theirs on regular needles. One row at a time and I’m not entirely sure how. Mine is using a snaking pattern on because it was the only way I could figure to pull it off. I have no idea how they were doing i-cords on regular needles. I’d love to find that pattern.
