We know piracy is a service delivery problem, and fuck Amazon in particular, but please compensate authors if you enjoy their work.

Read whatever you want! Intellectual property doesn’t exist! Culture is built cooperatively!

Buy books as merch. Spring for signed copies. Get the second version with the cool illustrations. Authors make more from these kinds of sales anyway

How ironic, company started to sell books is becoming one of the worst places to buy books.

At this point better off looking for an EPub/PDF copy on the publisher’s authors website sadly.

but consider sending some funds to an author’s patreon or otherwise supporting them if you can. Especially small authors are often in tight financial spots.

I’m still happy I went with Kobo. So far, at least; I wouldn’t be shocked if they followed suit, though.

Lol I bought a gen4 so I could upload my books to the kindle. Not the other way around. There are other e-ink readers, and there will always be a pirate. This is a waste of effort on their part.
