As someone who never has played Minecraft: ‘Its 11 12 though isn’t it?’

      12

      1 + 3 + 4 + 3 + 1 = 4 + 4 + 4 = 12

        Ha, weird that you started at a different orientation, for me it’s 2 + 4 + 4 + 2 = 12

          Y’all are weird.

Just take the two missing tiles that jut out on either end and swap them with the two corners that have tiles.

          3 x 4 = 12, easy.

          2 T-tetrominos + 1 I-tetromino = 12 blocks tiles

It’s clearly missing 1 big misshapen tile.

it is, assuming they miscalculated because they were just going off of the shape rather than the surrounding tiles.

Never mind the count, are those tiles laying on dirt? That doesn’t look like thinset…

You can summon two Dungeon Dice monsters in there, so at least 12.
