I must be weird because I grew up in the 80s, in the heyday of marketing this shit to kids, I had all the violent action figures, and I was skeptical of the military to the point it caused a rift in my family.

And I grew up to be an anarchist. 🤷‍♂️

I’ve trusted the wrong people too often for my liking, and figuring out the why’s and the how’s might be my next therapy goal. There are so many possibilities for reasons relationships fail, at this point I’m not starting from a conclusion. I just want to investigate.

None of this is normal, and there’s nothing wrong with you.

It’s not about accepting phsycal labor as life’s purpose, although I can easily imagine some profit-driven CEO twisting the philosophy into something soul-crushing.

We wait for employees to quit, get injured, or transfer to a another location so we don’t have to fire them and look like a business trying to downsize. We just fail to hire replacements and offload the work to the poor suckers who are stuck by circumstances. 🤡

It ain’t AI, that’s just an accelerant. Conservatives have been hammering away at education for decades. The devaluation of expertise and intelligence as a primary goal goes back decades.

Trump is the guy who says out loud, finally, what we’ve known all along. They love the uneducated. They didn’t have to ban the books, in the end. They just had to tell us they were worthless and that our opinions were equally as valid.

I have had exactly that. Today is a do-nothing day. Nap, watching videos, playing games, painting nails… nothing substantive whatsoever.
