I’d wholly disagree with the assessment that the software requires cloud use or even their slicer. There’s still the perfectly viable LAN mode or loading it via SD card. Neither of which ever touch their cloud

Iirc it’s automatic if an instance hits more than some percentage of users (active presumably)

They did (do?) have the tab you have to break to flash new firmware to your printer though.

I mean the text in the op you see here is identical to the hexbear op. I opened it up and the vast majority are just talking about it as the news it is with some jokes scattered in. The account you’re replying to is one of a handful that have identical posting patterns, one of which being they near(?) exclusively post anti-china and anti-russia shit, deserved or otherwise.

I suspect it may be bios level allocation of system ram to an igpu? I think that could affect how the system reports ram??
They say they just have an RSS feed and they manually crosspost. I haven’t looked into if they have times they’re inactive (both because it’s not worth my time, and it’s particularly annoying now with the 30 different accounts), but their behavior is incredibly bot-like even if they’re not literally a bot. I’ve noticed a few times (read: this isn’t a valid statistical sample omg) that they got the cross post off within a minute of the original post.

The PWHL (as viewed in the states) so far has been very refreshing since you can just watch on youtube with the only real advertising being specific sponsored elements (power plays are sponsored, maybe something else too?), and the stuff on the boards— which they don’t (as best as I can remember) digitally animate and change all the time during the game, any ad breaks on the US youtube broadcast just get a “we’ll be right back” screen and/or a few team “ads”

Just to be clear is that 65° F or C?

Oh yeah! That does sound familiar

I enjoy not having corporate censorship deciding what I can and can’t see or say; not that I comment or post that much.

Maybe a slightly different example will help understand the logic?
Let’s say NewsCorpA likes Trump and Spacey.
NewsCorpA publishes their usual stuff saying they’re both cool and good, but one day they post an article saying Trump did something bad. Because they have every reason to like Trump it seems more likely to me that the article has a genuine criticism (not to say their reasoning is good. E.g. He’s not racist enough), but that doesn’t have any bearing on the other, usual, articles about Spacey.
In other words it’s kinda the inverse of “if someone hates someone and says something nice about them, it’s probably genuine” so kinda “if someone likes someone and says something bad about them, it’s probably genuine”
There are some 24GB sticks around, same with 48GB sticks
